Testimonials

There's nothing better than getting a product that actually works right out of the box; one that is set up and ready to go. Half the battle with so many otherwise decent options out there is often the software installation which you guys are so generous to take care of before shipping the products. This was at least the case with my KNFB Reader Mobile which came ready to read, Talks installed, with WayFinder Access. I can't say I've ever found any new product so much fun to open. Your support is great and I think what truly sets HandyTech North America apart is that you both are end users of these products just like those of us purchasing them. That makes all the difference. Thanks so much!

"I just completed an excellent transaction. The item was an Acim X51V PDA purchased from Earle Harrison, president of Handy Tech North America. Comunication was excellent throughout the transaction and delivery was very fast. I wouldn't hesitate to do business with Earle again."

"I think the Handy Tech folks are about the best in the industry. I met Kelly at a Window-Eyes training workshop and she was incredibly candid and helpful. It was obvious that the company places customer needs and wants first. So...if you don't want the latest gadget out there, it's Handytech's commitment to see that you get what feel right and does what you want it to do. THREE CHEERS!!"

"A few months ago, I discovered the Handy Tech Easy Braille from an article sent to me by a close friend. I was looking for a display that would work with my Nokia E62 cell phone. I have always found Braille much more efficient than speech for output, and the fact that the Easy Braille contained Bluetooth support was the deciding factor.

I called Handy Tech North America and had a really nice and informative conversation with Earle Harrison. Earle is absolutely tops in my book as an adaptive equipment representative. He knows his stuff and can explain it all without trying to put some kind of sales pitch out there or run someone else’s product down.

When I received my Easy Braille, I couldn’t believe what a neat little display it is. The controls are solid and right where they should be, and the curvaceous Braille cells are the best I’ve ever seen. As a computer programmer/analyst, I use the display all day every day. It’s much less fatiguing than my former 80-cell unit, and the controls are so well placed and easy to use, that I really don’t need more than 40 cells, because it’s so simple to just move the display anywhere on the screen.

This display supports Braille input, so for the first time, I have true Braille input and output in one handy little portable device!

If I want to use the display with my cell phone, I just turn them both on, and they pair right up! I use Mobile Speak, another product that Handy Tech North America represents, and find it extremely useful. Having products like the Easy Braille and Mobile Speak allow the blind to access off-the-shelf hardware and software like never before. Now, we don’t have to sit and wait for someone to come out with a proprietary device with software that’s several releases old.

We can now have the leading edge in both software and hardware. And, the product support that I’ve received from Handy Tech North America is absolutely top-notch. In a day when most customer service is a joke, Handy Tech North America stands out not just in the AT industry, but in general with some of the best customer care I’ve ever received.

I’ve never been quite this enthusiastic about adaptive hardware and software. Thanks, Earle, for great products and support!!!"

"I had to spend part of this last weekend stuck in an airport for a three and a half hour layover. My iPAQ and Mobile Speak Pocket performed excellently allowing me to make phone calls, read email, browse the web and listen to some of my favorite music. Having this all perfectly accessible in one tiny package is awesome. My hat is off to Code Factory for a wonderful screen reader and to Earle Harrison for turning me on to the HP iPaq. It was wonderful not to have to lug a laptop and still have all of the functionality with much better battery life."

"It is a real pleasure to do business with this company. I've never called with a question that they were not able to answer or at least found the answer and got back in touch with me right away. I purchased the T-Mobile SDA back in September and then the MSS license from Earle and Kelly. The phone gave me nothing but problems but Earle and Kelly were there to answer my questions even though the fault was with the SDA. T-Mobile since replaced the phone with the T-Mobile Dash which I would highly recommend to anyone. Triumphonic is right there with help, keystroke assistance and most important courtesy and timely responses. I strongly suggest for your PDA or cell phone needs to give them a call."

"My name is Sharonda. When I first bought my first cell phone, it definitely wasn't accessible. When the LGVX4500 came out, I was all over that. Sure, I had heard of the other totally accessible phones, but I was of the opinion that no one needed "all that." I felt that it was too expensive, and if someone could afford it, more power to them - but not me. I wasn't spending my money that way.

I continued with the LG line. I had the 4650 and the Push-To-Talk 4700. I had been having some problems with my LGVX4700 and knew that I would have to contact Verizon. But when I did, they told me that I would have to purchase a new phone, since I had bought my VX4700 from an unauthorized dealer. During that bit of horrifying news, I met someone with a phone that was totally accessible and my desire sparked. I figured that since I had to buy a new phone, I mine as well get one that was best for me.

Well, I did! I Got the Motorola Q and downloaded the software in mid-November. I am so happy with this product, I don't know what to do. Just being able to do what I never could before - it's totally awesome! I can text message my sister, my husband, my worship team, and receive from them. It's phenomenal!

I still have a lot to say, but in three words, I would sum it up and say. Wow! Thanks much!"

"I just wanted to publicly express my thanks to Earle and Triumphonic. I damaged my phone and had to get a replacement. Verizon was not willing to provide the documentation I needed to show that I'd returned the phone. Earle worked with Codefactory to issue me a new license number. This is real customer service. Any company can work with you when everything is going the way it's supposed to but when there's a problem, great customer service shines through. Thanks Triumphonic."

"When I began researching Pocket Pc devices, I quickly settled on the HP iPaq model hw6915. The reviewers gave the 6915 high marks on its built-in quad band cell phone, its Bluetooth and wi-fi connectivity and its thin profile which allows the device to fit easily into a pocket. It also turns out that the iPaq hw6915 has sufficiently well defined keys to allow me as a totally blind person to efficiently use the built-in qwerty keyboard. For a blind person, however, choosing the Pocket PC is only half the battle. One must have a screen reader to make the device accessible. This is where Handy Tech comes into play.

Handy Tech sells the HP iPaq hw6915 as part of a bundle which also includes the Mobile Speak Pocket screen reader, a very compact Bluetooth keyboard, a Bluetooth headset and a two gigabyte memory card. Perhaps best of all, when the system arrived at my door everything was installed, configured and ready to go.

My job was to learn to use the new equipment. This too was made easier by Handy Tech as they made themselves available to answer all of my questions. I did not feel left alone to struggle with a new and unfamiliar product. This meant a lot to me. I will not soon forget this level of support. I am very happy with my purchase and would recommend this product and Handy Tech without reservation."

"Offers made by this company are unique because they reflect not just specific country or region-based experience but rally international experience. The array of products distributed by Earle Harrison and his Triumph enterprise is uniquely global. Triumph Technologies may enable the blind to exchange ideas worldwide, to learn from each other worldwide, and to obtain worthy conditions of participation in international exchanges."

Picture of instructor and student using tactile sign to communicate. "Let me tell you what the Triumph experience was for me: the greatest learning experience of my life. Absolutely transformative. Before, each time I sat before my computer, I clenched my teeth in preparation for war. It was always grim. But then I got training services from this wonderful company that sends its staff to my home to sit next to me and work with me on my own equipment. The staff are all intelligent, kind, patient, and, most important for me as a deaf and blind person, devoted to conquering accessibility challenges. They never gave up, and as a result, all of my equipment have become extensions of my body. Everything now is second nature, thanks to my teachers from this one-of-a-kind company called, quite rightly, Triumph."

"I've known Earle Harrison for over seven years, since the days we worked together at Henter-Joyce. We had a lot of fun back then but we all worked very hard and shared a common sense of mission that I have never experienced before or hence in a corporate workplace. Earle studied, documented and taught about the products we made and he maintained a level of knowledge of AT products unsurpassed in this industry. Earle has a ton of integrity and, for the entire time I've known him, has always put the needs of people ahead of profits."

"I received my M-PAC™ about a week ago. As a power user of multiple competitive products (including BrailleNote and PAC Mate), and as someone who's familiar with other attempts to make off-the-shelf PDAs accessible, I got my M-PAC™ with a sense of excitement mixed with some trepidation. My fears were unfounded! Triumphonic has done an outstanding job with the M-PAC™! My IPAQ came with Mobile Speak Pocket pre-installed. The unit spoke right out of the box. Clear braille instructions (also available on CD) got me up and running in no time. And the external keyboard was already set up and ready to go! The M-PAC™, with Mobile Speak Pocket, delivers on promises made by competitors years ago. Blind people now have a truly accessible Pocket PC device, and at a much more reasonable price. The Competition said a commercial PDA wasn't a viable option; so they built their own bulky, high-dollar products. The M-PAC™ proves them wrong. Triumphonic has provided outstanding product support. As questions have arisen, I've sent them to Triumphonic technicians via email. I could have called, but just like email. I've had answers to my questions in no time! This is a level of support I could have only dreamed of from other companies. I can't say enough great things about Triumphonic and my M-PAC™!"
